The cake topper, one year later...

This was the centrepiece on our Wedding cake. The cake was awesome, no lie! We had a chocolate layer, a lemon layer and a white chocolate layer. The lemon was epic!)

The centre piece now lives on our entertainment unit next to our 42" LCD Samsung TV :) As we just celebrated our 1 year anniversary I thought I'd post a weddingish shot :)

We were sitting watching the crap on Easter TV and the sun was in just the right spot to create a good reflection in the window. So I whipped out the 50mm and got in the way of the TV for my wife.

Hedgie the Hog

This little guy was hanging out on our driveway so I took him some cat treats to coax him into posing for me.
It was a clear Tuesday night great for sniffing garbage and scratching tasty morsels of trash out of the piles lining the paths of Browns Bay.

He posed for this close up:

Then he started to get a bit shy...
... I'd run out of treats.

So off into the sunset shrubs he strode... a proud little hedgehog. I call him Hedgie.

The Eye of the Beholder

Wandering, last Sunday, up to the Auckland Domain from the downtown car-park we passed through a random building. A whole wall is painted blue and is covered in bumps, a larger than life braille sculpture.

This eyeball sits at the end of the hall of braille watching all that goes on...

Trash the Dress / Drown the Gown

A friend of ours, Gillian, was keen to do a trash the dress shoot some time. So Rachel pulled out her wedding dress and Gill found her nice red bridesmaid dress and we all headed to Long Bay Beach.

Here is one of the shot from on top of an old gun placement. I was happy I got the sun flare without taking away too much from the girls.

This is the detailing on the back of Rachels dress:

She sells sea shells...

Ok so there was no one selling shells.

I wanted to get as close as I could to these cats eyes so I whipped out my 75-300 kit lense to take this.

Its at a little cove near Rothesay Bay on Aucklands North Shore.

Twin Lakes Sunset

This is the path up to the twin lakes. The lakes were both frozen. It was a very bucolic setting amid the small city. A few people were out enjoying peaceful and serene and sunset.
